Man arrested for wearing Indian Air Force uniform to make reels on social media in Siliguri

Siliguri, 16th April: A man was arrested by the police at Matigara Police Station in Siliguri for allegedly wearing the uniform of the Indian Air Force for making reels on social media at a mall. The accused, identified as Subrato Roy (47) from Raiganj, was apprehended on Monday evening.


According to the information received, Subrato Roy was moving around a mall in Matigara dressed in the uniform. During this, several Air Force officers spotted him, leading to the matter being reported to the Matigara police station.

Upon receiving the information, the police reached the scene and interrogated the individual. He explained that he was a content creator on social media and was wearing the Indian Air Force uniform for that purpose at the mall. However, due to the lack of a legitimate reason for wearing the uniform, the police arrested the individual.


On Tuesday, the accused was presented in the Siliguri court, where a remand request has been made. Meanwhile, the police are investigating how the accused obtained the Indian Air Force uniform.
