Siliguri, 03rd May: In a significant breakthrough, Siliguri police have apprehended the alleged culprit behind the theft of copper air-conditioning (AC) pipes. The accused, identified as Arun Roy, hails from the area under ward number 40 in Siliguri.
Reports indicate that the theft occurred on May 22nd, where copper AC pipes were stolen from two residences situated near a mall on SF Road in Siliguri. Following a formal complaint lodged at the Siliguri police station, an investigation was conducted.
During this, the officials managed to track down and arrest Arun Roy. Subsequently, a substantial quantity of copper AC pipes was recovered from the possession of the accused. On Friday, Arun Roy was presented before the Siliguri court for further legal proceedings.
