According to sources, Anand Pramanik visited Tildanga Keshabpur in Farakka to attend a function at his in-laws' house. It has been alleged that his in-laws, who had been preying on him, eventually attacked him.
Anand was then admitted in a severely injured condition at the Malda Medical College-Hospital on Saturday evening, where he was declared dead by the doctors.
