Man absconding after killing wife in Siliguri, police initiates search operation

Siliguri, 12th March: Police are on the lookout for a man who went missing after he allegedly killed his wife. The incident surfaced from the Hathidowa area of Dagapur. Police launched an investigation based on the complaint lodged at the Pradhan Nagar police station on behalf of the deceased’s family members today. Meanwhile, the police recovered the body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy.
According to the information, Kashmiri Khatoon, a resident of NJP, was married to Ajmuddin of Dagapur Hathidowa, in the year 2008. All seemed initially, however, frequent arguments broke out between the two over petty matters later on. Ajmuddin has been accused of physically assaulting his wife during the fight. Besides Kashmira’s husband, her in-laws have also been accused of tormenting her. 
Reportedly, a similar fight broke out between the husband and wife on Friday night. As the quarreling escalated, Ajmuddin allegedly attacked Kashmira with a heavy weapon on her head due to which she died on the spot. Since then Ajmuddin is absconding. Police are looking for the accused husband.
