Cooch Behar, 05th February: 6 houses were burnt to ashes in a massive fire that broke out on Tuesday night at the South Balabhut area in Tufanganj.
It was reported that the locals first attempted to bring the fire under control and then reported the incident to the fire brigade. Upon receiving the news, 4 fire engines reached the spot and extinguished the fire after 3 long hours.
However, the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The Tufanganj police have primarily assumed that the fire broke out due to a short circuit. The incident is currently being investigated.
