Kaliyaganj, 17th March: The dilapidated roads along the Adivasi para to Rashidpur Dakshinpara are lying in a pitiful condition for the past few years due to which the locals are facing a lot of difficulties. A large number of vehicles ply through this route which risks the lives of many.
In this regard, the locals staged a roadblock at the State Highway of Rashidpur More. After the police reached the spot, they lifted the roadblock.
An amount of 17 lakh rupees was allocated on behalf of the North Dinajpur District-in-council for the construction of roads. BJP leader Rupak Roy alleged that poor quality work is being conducted and the locals demand re-construction of roads.
However, District-in-council member Dodhimohon Dev Sharma denied all the allegations and stated that after the 600-meter road construction concludes, the rest of the work will commence.
