Cooch Behar, 11th March: The residents of Ward No. 12 under Cooch Behar municipality staged a roadblock on Wednesday morning demanding repair work of the area’s dilapidated roads. Reportedly, they blocked Cooch Behar’s Chakir More area.
The locals alleged that that the roads are lying in a deplorable condition for the past few years and the sewers are not maintained properly. They further stated that despite reporting the matter to the Ward Councillor several times, no settlement has been provided. However, the situation was brought under control after the intervention of the police.
