Malda, 20th March: The locals alleged that the underpass between Malda’s Harishchandrapur and Kumedpur Junction Railway Station is under construction for the past year. The condition of the road further deteriorates during the monsoons. As per the charges, the pedestrians and the students face a lot of difficulties as the link road has not yet been constructed. It has been further alleged that despite reporting the matter to the administration several times, no settlement has been provided yet.
Therefore, the locals have demanded the underpass should be repaired and a link road should be constructed soon.
