Siliguri, 02nd December: The local businesspeople stopped the road construction work in the fish market street near Gatebazar under Ward No. 33 of Siliguri alleging of using substandard quality material.
Local businessmen alleged that the contractors were using substandard materials like cheap quality cement for the construction and thus demanded to get things done properly at the earliest.
However, the contractor has denied all the allegations. They said that all the work is conducted according to the rules.
