Local railway workers rescue newborn in NJP’s Ambikanagar

Siliguri, 23rd March: Sensation prevailed after a newborn baby girl was rescued from the front Ambikanagar, NJP. The local railway workers rescued the child on Monday and rushed her to the Railway hospital immediately.


However, it has been alleged that the hospital authorities did not treat the child for two hours after admission due to legal complications. The locals then staged a protest at the hospital. The Government Railway Police (GRP) and the police reached the spot and transferred the child to the North Bengal Medical College-Hospital. On the other hand, the railway hospital authorities have denied all the allegations.
