Lions Club Of Siliguri Saviours to hold 2-day health fair in Siliguri Indira Gandhi Maidan

Siliguri, 25th February: A two-day health fair will be organized on February 27 and 28 in Siliguri Indira Gandhi Maidan under the initiative of the Lions Club of Siliguri Saviours. Around 50 doctors from different parts of the country are expected to attend the health fair.


During a press conference at the Siliguri Journalists Club on Thursday, Dr Shailesh Jha, on behalf of the Lions Club of Siliguri Saviours, said that this is the first time they are organizing a health fair in the city. Doctors from almost all departments will be present at the fair. The common people can consult the doctors free of cost. Free medicines will also be provided to needy people. The fair will run for two days from 9 am to 4 pm.

On the other hand, the people coming from remote tea gardens will be provided with free medicines as well as food. A blood donation camp will also be held. Besides, 15 people from North Bengal will be felicitated with the Lion Ratna for helping the needy during the pandemic situation.
