Siliguri, 05th September: Lions Club of Rising Star felicitated 55 teachers of Hindi Balika Vidyapith on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. The club also took the responsibility to help educate 11 needy students of the school.
On the occasion of Teachers’ Day in Hindi Balika Vidyapith, Lions Club of Rising Star started the programme by garlanding the photo of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the Indian philosopher, academic, and statesman who served as the first Vice President of India and the second President of India.
After this, 55 teachers of the school were acknowledged on behalf of the institution by offering khadas. Lions Club of Rising Star organized the event taking care of social distancing and all safety measures in view of the COVID outbreak.
Archana Sharma, Principal of Hindi Balika Vidyapith, highly commended the initiative of the Lions Club.
Addressing the media, Mahesh Rathi, Director of Lions Club of Rising Star, stated that 55 teachers of the school were felicitated today during the programme. With this, the club has decided to look after the education expenses of 11 needy children. Rathi added that the programme was shortened in view of the pandemic.
