Alipurduar, 16th August: A laborer has been electrocuted to death in the Kalchini Latabari area of Alipurduar district. The incident has cast a shadow of mourning over the area. The deceased has been identified as Ravi Das, a resident of the Hamiltonganj area.
Reportedly, Ravi Das was working on the roof of a house in the Latabari area on Monday, during which, he fell down after receiving an electric shock of 11,000 volts. He was rushed to Latabari Hospital where doctors declared him dead. The body was recovered and sent to Alipurduar District Hospital for autopsy.
