Siliguri, 11th July: An injured woman was found beside the railway tracks near Darjeeling More under Pradhan Nagar Police Station limits in Siliguri on Friday.
The woman has been identified as Puja Thapa. According to reports, she was sitting beside the railway tracks when the incident occurred. Locals claimed that she sustained injuries after allegedly being hit by a train.
It was further claimed that the train’s loco pilot repeatedly sounded the horn and warned her to move away from the tracks, but she did not respond.
Following the incident, police, with the help of local residents, shifted the injured woman to Siliguri District Hospital, where she is undergoing treatment.
