Alipurduar, 13th August: Illegal segun wood worth 3 lakh rupees were recovered in a joint operation conducted by the forest department, police, and SSB officials.
Reportedly, the segun wood was recovered from Birpara Garuchira area under Alipurduar district, on Thursday morning. Two men, identified as Sarki Pradhan and Ram Oraon were arrested in the incident. The illegal timber was confiscated by Dalgaon Range.
