Siliguri, 05th May: Amid rising concerns, city autos operating without proper documentation in Siliguri have come under the scanner. On Monday, the Panitanki Traffic Guard of Siliguri Metropolitan Police launched a special drive in the Court More area to tackle the issue.
During the inspection, several city autos were found lacking valid documents, and some drivers did not possess a proper driving license. Despite this, they were operating their vehicles illegally.
Authorities issued online challans to violators and instructed drivers to promptly update their vehicle documents. According to sources from the Panitanki Traffic Police, the crackdown will continue in the coming days, with strict action planned against non-compliant vehicles.
