If you can’t work for the people, step down from your responsibilities- Ranjan Sarkar

Siliguri, 12th August: While submitting a 10-point memorandum to Ashok Bhattacharya, Chairman of BoA at Siliguri Municipal Corporation, on Wednesday, the former opposition leader Ranjan Sarkar accused Bhattacharya of failing to provide proper services to the citizens amid the ongoing pandemic.

Reportedly, the Trinamool Parishad party, under the leadership of Ranjan Sarkar, handed over a 10-point memorandum to Ashok Bhattacharya demanding proper service for the citizens.

Following this, Sarkar expressed outrage over the role of the chairman and stated that the board is avoiding its responsibilities by only giving excuses of ‘shortage of money’. He further claimed that the state government, despite all hurdles, is continuously working for the people.

Sarkar further added that if the BoA at SMC are unable to fulfil its responsibilities, then they should step down from office.
