Siliguri, 12th February: After the completion of Siliguri Municipal Corporation polls today, Ward No. 33 TMC candidate Goutam Deb said that although Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee came to power in the state, she had to return empty-handed from Siliguri. However, this time he wants to win the SMC election and gift Siliguri to her.
He further said, “Voting was conducted peacefully today. That is why we are optimistic about winning. We want to form a Trinamool-led Siliguri municipality board and hand it over to the Chief Minister.”
