Heavy rain likely to lash Bengal for two more days

Siliguri, 25th September: Several districts of West Bengal and neighbouring state Sikkim are expected to receive in the next two days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).


Meanwhile, IMD’s Regional Meteorological Centre Kolkata, in a statement issued on Friday, predicted thunderstorm with lightning and rainfall to continue over some parts of Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Coochbehar, North and South Dinajpur, Malda districts of West Bengal during next 2-3 hours.


In addition to this, the IMD has also expressed the possibility of landslides in the hilly areas, due to which people have been asked to be vigilant.
