Madarihat, 27th January: An indefinite peaceful protest has been staged by the health workers of the Madarihat block, demanding increment and other facilities including Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF). The protest, which started from Monday morning, was staged at the office of the Madarihat Block Primary Health Officer.
The protesters alleged that despite repeated applications for the last eight years, their salary was not increased. Hence, a protest was staged, today, demanding increment and to provide various facilities at the earliest.
