Headmistress of Siliguri Girls’ High School threatened by an impersonator

Siliguri, 04th March: A youth has been accused of impersonating as an officer and journalist of the Delhi Crime Branch and threatening the Headmistress of the Siliguri Girls’ High School.


The Headmistress of the school, Munmun Lahiri, stated that a youth, named Radharaman Roy, a resident of Deshbandhu Para had been impersonating as an officer and journalist of the Delhi Crime Branch and threatening her to re-admit the student, who had been dropped out from the same school in 2017.

As per the report, on Wednesday, Radharaman Roy came to the school and requested the school officials to re-enroll the aforementioned student. It has been alleged that when the request was turned down, the young man started impersonating as an officer and journalist of Delhi Crime Branch and started threatening Munmun Lahiri. The Headmistress immediately described the entire incident to the School Operating Committee Chairman, Goutam Deb. The incident was later reported to the Siliguri Police. Upon receiving the news, the police reached the spot and detained the youth.


In this context, the accused Radharaman Roy stated that he made the press card in Delhi for an amount of 2100 rupees, with the sole purpose of conducting various social services. He stated that he came to the school to request the school management to re-admit the student.
