Harshit Agarwal murder case: Two arrested

Siliguri, 04th January: Two men have been arrested in the Harshit Agarwal’s murder case that surfaced from Baniapara on January 01. The arrested accused have been identified as Onyatamo Roy and Sanjit Roy, residents of Nawapara area.


According to NJP police sources, the arrested 2 youths have various past crime records including snatching and burglary.

Reportedly, Ganga Nagar’s Harshit Agarwal was roaming with his friend on January 01 when some miscreants in Baniapara area stopped him and demanded money. When Harshit refused to give the money, the miscreants allegedly attacked him. After this, Harshit was taken to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital in a blood-soaked condition, where he died in the night.


After conducting an investigation, the Ambari Falakata outpost police arrested two men and produced them before the Jalpaiguri court on Monday. The arrested individuals will be taken into police custody and a search will be carried out to recover the weapons used in the murder and other aspects of the investigation will be looked into.
