Siliguri, 10th May: While the entire nation is under a complete lockdown to contain the spread of the Novel Coronavirus, several reports of theft and robbery have emerged from Siliguri ever since the lockdown has been imposed.
Another such news surfaced from the Siliguri Ashrampara area after the GTS club was allegedly robbed last night by a few miscreants. The matter came to light only after the club’s lock was found broken. Upon entering inside, it was discovered that the thieves had fled away with a television set and a carom board.
Upon receiving the news, the Panitanki outpost police and Councilor Nantu Pal reached the spot shortly after and have launched an investigation into the incident.
