Cooch Behar, 12th February: Governor Jagdeep Dhankar in his recent tweet made shocking allegations on the Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University. The Governor who also is the Chancellor of the Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University alleged that he was not invited to the convocation ceremony of the University.
He tweeted “Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University Convocation will be held on Feb 14. Ministers Partha Chatterjee, Goutam Deb, Rabindra Nath Ghosh, and Binay Krishna Barman are invited for the Convocation. Chancellor, who has the right to preside, has just no information! Where are we heading!” Chancellor Dhankar also stated that his name was not printed on the invitation letters of the ceremony.
Meanwhile, Dr. Deb Kumar Mukherjee, the Vice-Chancellor of Panchanan Barma University stated that an invitation had been sent on their behalf. However, since no reply was received from the Chancellor’s end, his name was not printed in the invitation letter. Mukherjee further stated that if the Chancellor wants to join the ceremony, he would be welcomed.
