Kharibari, 12th March: West Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose visited Indo-Nepal border at Panitanki in Kharibari and participated in ‘Amar Gram’ programme on the second day of his North Bengal tour.
The Governor took an e-rickshaw ride to the border between Nepal and India and inquired about security of the border area. Later, he participated in the ‘Amar Gram’ program at the SSB camp in Gaur Singh Jote.
Apart from interacting with common people, he also interacted with SSB Jawans. While speaking to journalists, the Governor stated that the ‘Amar Gram’ Programme is to directly interact with the citizens and is being conducted under the leadership of the Prime Minister. The program’s emphasis to understand about various communities living in our country.
Additionally, he stated that the Election Commission will take a decision regarding fake voters. Further, he stated that the Vice-Chancellor will make a decision regarding the police camp at Jadavpur University.
