Government bus service launched from Falakata to Alipurduar

Alipurduar, 25th January: After around thirty years, government bus service has been started from Khagenhat in Falakata block via Jateshwar to Alipurduar. The service started on Tuesday and will continue regularly from tomorrow.


Parthapratim Roy, chairman of the North Bengal State Transport Corporation, inaugurated the bus from the premises of Khagenhat Nathuni Singh High School in Falakata.

In this regard, Chairman Parthapratim Roy said that initially, a bus has been launched from Khagenhat to Alipurduar Sadar via Jateshwar and Falakata. If the number of passengers is sufficient, there are also plans to run another bus to Birpara.


Jayanta Adhikari, Board of Directors of the organization, Subhash Roy, Chairman of CADC, IC Sanatan Singh of Falakata Police Station, Nitai Das, Dhanirampur-02 Gram Panchayat Pradhan, renowned social worker Debojit Paul and others were present at the programme.
