Siliguri, 28th December: Considering the remarkable initiative of former District Magistrate Saumitra Mohan, state Tourism Minister Goutam Deb has taken upon himself to implement the Annapurna Yojana in the city and provide a healthy meal to the poor at only 10 rupees.
While holding a meeting with District Magistrate Shashank Sethi at Manik Tourist Lodge of Siliguri today, Minister Goutam Deb discussed on the Annapurna Yojana. Reportedly, two locations have already been inspected to set up a community kitchen for the said project.
Minister Deb said that he aspires to implement Annapurna Yojana with private social organizations and subsidies.
