Goods and cash worth lakhs of rupees stolen from Siliguri’s grocery store

Siliguri, 12th February: Stir ensued with another theft incident in Siliguri that surfaced from a grocery store on Burdwan Road.


 

Reportedly, the shop owner, Tapas Das, came to open the shop this morning as usual and saw that the shop’s goods were scattered and the tin was cut realizing of burglary. Thieves decamped with goods worth lakhs of rupees including cash from the store. 


 

As soon as the news of the incident was received, the police reached the spot and started investigating the entire incident. In this regard, the shop owner said that he had accidentally left the money in the shop last night to buy a bike. Today when he came to open the shop, he learned about the shop was burgled. The burglars made away with goods and cash worth lakhs.
