Siliguri, 02nd October: Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated on behalf of Siliguri Municipal Corporation today. In view of the auspicious day, Ashok Bhattacharya urged all to follow the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi.
Bhattacharya laid a wreath at the portrait of Gandhiji in front of Head Post Office in Siliguri. Besides, BoA member Shankar Ghosh, Ram Bhajan Mahato, Sharadindu Chakraborty, and other prominent figures paid homage to the Father of the nation.
Bhattacharya also spoke on the increasing number of criminal activities in the country. He urged all to abide by Gandhiji’s ideologies.
