Naxalbari, 29th December: Under the aegis of Naxalbari Lions Club and in collaboration with Naxalbari police station, a free eye check-up camp was organized in Naxalbari police station premises.
A total of 75 people were examined in the said camp and out of them 8 were specified for surgery. They will be sent to Siliguri Lions Netralaya-Eye Hospital for surgery. Along with this, sanitary pads were also distributed in the camp.
Narendra Prasad, Devprasad Bhowmik, Anil Sah Prahlad Vishwas and Shyamal Jovardar of Lions Club were present on this occasion. Medicines were also given to the patients along with the treatment. The Secretary of Lions Club informed that this camp is being organized once in a month. Eye check-up camp will be organized again in Naxalbari police station on January 19 in the new year.
