Kharibari, 01st April: On Friday night, a four-wheeler lost control and rammed into a roadside paan shop on National Highway No. 327 in Kharibari’s Panitanki adjoining area. The owner of the paan shop was seriously injured in the incident.
Reportedly, the said vehicle was heading from Bihar towards Siliguri when it suddenly lost control and crashed into the said shop, injuring Anil Rouy, the shop owner. After the incident, the injured was taken to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital and then shifted to a nursing home in Siliguri.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle is absconding after the incident. Local expressed anger over the incident and vandalized the vehicle. On the other hand, Kharibari police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
