Siliguri, 30th November: Sensation prevailed in the area of Naya Basti near Salbari last evening after four people including a woman were injured in a road accident. Reportedly, a high-speed Bolero vehicle hit four two-wheelers after losing control, injuring four people including a woman who narrowly survived.
The locals rushed them to the nearby Sukna Rural Hospital, but the condition of the woman among the injured remains critical. It is being told that a Bolero vehicle carrying a passenger was coming from Darjeeling toward Siliguri. During this, after losing control, hit two scooters and two bikes.
Salbari traffic police reached the spot after the incident. After taking action, the driver of Bolero was taken into custody. Cops retrieved the accident vehicles in their possession and handed them over to Pradhan Nagar police station. The police have started investigating the entire matter.
