Siliguri, 11th January: The police of NJP police station arrested two smugglers along with four cattle. Reportedly, on Tuesday night, acting on a tip-off the NJP police conducted a campaign in front of the Fulbari toll gate and intercepted a pickup van. During the search, 4 cattle were recovered from the said van.
The police have also arrested two people in this incident. The two accused have been identified as Ashraful Haque and Anarul Haque. According to police sources, the cattle were being smuggled from Bihar to Assam.
Today both the accused were produced in the Jalpaiguri court.
