Fulbari, 09th March: For the past several days, batteries were being stolen occasionally from a boulder-laden vehicle in the Border Road area of Fulbari. NJP police launched an investigation and arrested four people in this regard. The arrested accused have been identified as Abdul Rashid, Tarun Roy, Dilip Roy, and Mohammad Rezaul.
It has been learned that several batteries were stolen from the car of a man named Amirul Islam. He then lodged a complaint at the NJP police station. Police launched investigations based on the complaint and arrested three persons from the Kalangini area and one from the Badlagaj area, on Tuesday night. Three batteries were recovered from their possession.
According to police sources, they have been involved in criminal activities for a long time. They were produced at Jalpaiguri court on Wednesday.
