Foundation stone of two new health centers laid in Kharibari block

Kharibari, 22nd March: Kishori Mohan Singh, member of Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad, today laid the foundation stone of two new health centres in Kharibari block. Today the work of the same commenced at Madan Jote and Subalbhita in Kharibari.


The health centres will be built at a cost of about Rs 31 lakhs. ANM and GNM and ASHA workers will be in charge of the health centre. With the addition of two new centres, the Kharibari will receive a total of 18 health centres. 

In this regard, Kharibari Block Health Officer Safiul Alam Malik said that there were 11 health centres in the block. The names of the new 7 have been announced. Out of these, work on three centres are in progress and two have started today. On the other hand, Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad member Kishori Mohan Singh said that the state government had emphasized medical services in rural areas. He said that treatment will be done in the said health centre through a mobile app.
