Kultali, 05th September: Forest officials with the help of Maipith Coastal Police Station conducted a raid in the wee hours of Saturday at Baikunthapur village of Kultali under South 24 Parganas district.
During the raid, 37-year-old Mamindranath Das was arrested red-handed with 13 kg venison (deer meat) and a 40′ snare.
Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF), WLWW stated that the team will continue to conduct such raids taking the help of police.
Reportedly, operations for nabbing the rest of the gang is underway.
