Naxalbari, 12th February: Under the aegis of Ekannoborti Sanstha, a one-day football tournament was organized for the women of the ‘Tari Prakalpa’ tribe at Rathkhola under the Naxalbari block.
The Minister of State and the leader of Ekannoborti Sanstha, Chandrima Bhattacharya inaugurated the said tournament. During this, members of Ekannoborti Sanstha, Sushmita Sengupta, Rajeev Pramanik, Sajni Subba, Jayanti Kiro, Vidyut Das and others were present.
Four teams participated in the said competition. The champion team was honoured with a trophy. Sushmita Sengupta, a member of Ekannoborti Sanstha, told that the tournament has been organized to increase the interest of women in sports.
