Food-delivering apps Zomato and Swiggy reported a nationwide outage on Wednesday afternoon due to “technical issues”. The glitch caused by Amazon Web Services is reportedly the reason behind the two apps crashing. Users took to social media and said the app was not functioning and that they were unable to place orders. 
Taking to Twitter, Zomato wrote, “Hi there, we are facing a temporary glitch. Please be assured our team is working on this and we will be up and running soon.”
Swiggy cares also tweeted, “…we apologize for the long delay we are currently facing due to a technical glitch. This is not usual with us and our best minds are working on it to resolve it at the earliest. Please bear with us.”
