Jalpaiguri, 22nd April: With the first phase of Assembly elections scheduled tomorrow, preparations intensified across DCRC centres in Jalpaiguri from Wednesday morning.
According to district administration sources, voting will be conducted across 2,041 polling stations, with 9,895 polling personnel deployed to manage the process.
The main DCRC centre has been set up at the second campus of North Bengal University, where polling personnel gathered in large numbers. Long queues were seen as officials collected EVMs, VVPATs and other essential polling materials.
