Kalchini, 23rd March: Panic ensued in the area after a fire broke out in the house of a tea worker in Rajabhat tea garden under Kalchini block late Wednesday night. The conflagration burnt the entire house into ashes.
Reportedly, the said fire broke out in Rajen Mahali’s house on Wednesday late night. Everyone was sleeping at the time of the incident. Luckily Rajen and his family escaped as soon as the fire was detected. After this, the residents of the area tried to douse the fire. As soon as the news was received, the fire engine from Hamiltonganj reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
However, no casualty has been reported in the said incident but the entire house of the tea worker was engulfed in ashes.
