Siliguri, 21st October: Sensation prevailed after a fire broke out at a cloth godown in Milan Pally area of Siliguri’s Ward No. 25, on Thursday evening.
The fire brigade was informed as soon as the matter came to the notice of the locals. Two fire engines reached the spot shortly after.
It has been primarily assumed that the fire broke out due to a short circuit. Valuables worth lakhs is said to have been destroyed.
