FIR filed against Agra man for hiding coronavirus positive status of his daughter

A case was registered against a man for allegedly concealing his daughter’s illness and misleading the health department officials.


Relatively, the woman, who lives in the Agra Cantonment railway colony, had recently traveled to Europe for her honeymoon. After the couple returned, her husband tested positive for Covid-19 in Bengaluru on March 12. After some time, the woman also developed flu-like symptoms and was admitted to the hospital. It has been alleged that her father concealed the coronavirus positive status of his daughter.

The additional chief health officer Vinay Kumar has filed an FIR against the woman’s father. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Babloo Kumar said that strict action would be taken against the accused. The accused and his other family members have been placed under home quarantine as they were in close contact with the patient.
