Rajganj, 25th April: A tragic incident surfaced from Palpara area of Majhiali Gram Panchayat on Rajganj-Gadra state road where an elderly woman lost her life after being hit by a motorbike. The deceased woman, identified as Kanduri Nechha (62) is stated to be a resident of Moni Jote area of Majhiali Gram Panchayat.
As per details received, on Thursday morning, the elderly woman went to the field for tethering a cow. While returning, a speeding motorbike coming from Gadra accidentally hit the woman. Consequently, she fell on the road and suffered serious injuries.
After the incident, the locals promptly rescued her and took her to Kalinagar Sub-Health Centre. Further, as her condition deteriorated she was referred to Rajganj Rural Hospital where the doctors declared her dead. The incident led to a state of mourning among the family members.
Upon receiving the news, the cops of Rajganj police station arrived at the spot and took the motorbike to the police station. At present, the police are engaged in detailed investigation of the entire incident.
