EC team reached Siliguri, to hold administrative meetings in eight districts

Siliguri, 22nd March: Aiming to ensure peaceful conduct of the assembly elections in Bengal, Election Commission CEO Arif Aftab, Police Special Observer Vivek Dubey, and ADG (Law and Order) Jag Mohan, arrived in Siliguri today along with 13 high-ranking officials. After landing at Bagdogra airport in the evening, all the officials left for a hotel in Sukna. Siliguri Police Commissioner and the District Magistrate were present at Bagdogra Airport.


According to the information received, in the next two days, the team of the Election Commission will take stock of the final meeting and preparations regarding the elections, along with the DMs, high-ranking police officers and administrative officers of the 8 districts of North Bengal.

On the other hand, Special Observer of Police Vivek Dubey and Additional Director General (ADG) and Inspector General (IG) for Law and Order Jag Mohan will review the law enforcement in the district. It is being informed that Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora and Deputy Election Commissioner Sudip Jain will reach Siliguri tomorrow.
