Siliguri, 29th November: A memorandum was handed over at the Pradhan Nagar police station on behalf of DYFI North Local Committee demanding a ban on drugs in the city, on Monday.
Biplab Ghosh, President of the North Local Committee, alleged that drugs are sold openly in the city and that DYFI has been constantly fighting against it. Once again, a memorandum has been handed over to the police today demanding strict action against the people involved in the illegal drug trade and a ban on sale in the areas under the police station.
