Drawing competition organized in Jalpaiguri under ‘Safe Drive Save Live’ campaign

Jalpaiguri, 13th December: Jalpaiguri Sadar Traffic Police organized a drawing competition at Police Line under the ‘Safe Drive Save Live’ campaign to increase traffic awareness among elders as well as the children, on Monday.


Competitions were held in four groups with first, second, third, and fourth standard students. District Superintendent of Police Devarshi Dutta and Additional Superintendent of Police Sandeep Sen handed over trophies to the participants.


DSP Traffic Debashish Das, DSP Headquarters Sameer Paul, IC of Kotwali Police Station Arghya Sarkar, Sadar Traffic OC Bappa Saha and Highway Traffic OC Sujit Mitra, and other police personnel were present at the programme.

District Superintendent of Police Devarshi Dutta said that the competition was organized as part of the ‘Safe Drive Save Live’ campaign. “If children are made aware of traffic rules right in the beginning, they will be aware of traffic laws when they grow up. This will help reduce accidents in the future,” he added.
