Siliguri, 29th March: On the fifth day of the nation-wide lockdown, the Diamond Yuvak Brinda Club took initiatives to assist the needy on Sunday.
The club members distributed khichdi among the poor people in Bidhan Road, Hospital More, Sevoke Road, Aanchal Bazar, Jyoti Nagar and various other areas.
Club President Tapan Roy stated that more such initiatives will be taken in the lockdown period and awareness campaigns will also be held in different places. He further stated that ration was provided to the needy in Ward No. 40 under Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
