Dev responds to BJP worker’s ‘Jai Shri Ram’ chant at Bagdogra Airport

Siliguri, 23rd April: Amidst the active political atmosphere of the ongoing Lok Sabha election, a significant interaction unfolded at Bagdogra Airport in Siliguri as BJP worker’s “Jai Shri Ram” chant met a positive response by actor and TMC MP Dev Adhikari.


According to reports, Dev has been a two-time MP and is currently contesting the Lok Sabha polls from Ghatal. As a result, he has been actively campaigning for the Trinamool Congress (TMC) across various districts of West Bengal. On Tuesday, MP Dev arrived at the Bagdogra Airport to conduct an election campaign in Raiganj and Balurgat. During this, a BJP worker chanted the slogan “Jai Shri Ram”. Subsequently, Dev approached the worker and embraced him extending his greetings.

While addressing the media, Dev emphasized the importance of unity, stating the significance of prioritizing nationality before religion and then political party. He further expressed how the political leaders have divided the people and regardless of what party wins, the country should progress. Additionally, he cited the elections from 2019 and expressed optimism regarding the election results this year.


On the other hand, the BJP worker who chanted the slogan “Jai Shri Ram” clarified that that he was chanting slogans wherever he went due to the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.
