Fulbari, 06th February: Sensation ensued after a deadly collision between an ambulance and lorry left three dead and three injured. The horrific incident surfaced from Fulbari’s Amaidighi area adjacent to Siliguri on Sunday night.
The deceased have been identified as Bapan Ghosh, Prashant Roy, and Ritu Saha. Reportedly, some people were heading from Maynaguri to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital in an ambulance. But on their way, the ambulance collided with a brick-laden lorry in the said area. The tragedy claimed the lives of three including the ambulance driver, while three people were seriously injured. After the incident, the injured were rescued and sent to a private hospital.
On the other hand, soon after getting the news of the incident, the police of New Jalpaiguri police station reached the spot and recovered both vehicles. Police have started investigating the entire incident.
