Cooch Behar, 14th April: Sensation prevailed after the dead body of an elderly woman was recovered from the Nepal Khata area under Tufanganj Sub-division of Cooch Behar district. The deceased has been identified as Sudhabi Mandal.
As per the report, the woman was missing since last night. The locals sighted her body floating in a nearby pond this morning and immediately informed the police.
Upon receiving the news, the police reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it for an autopsy.
The police are further investigating the matter.
